Sustainability Principles Online Dialogue

I like your idea of having a dialog and thought about participating with a few ideas of my own and then I remember what Bucky said: Man knows so much and does so little.  This dialog will satisfy a few who want to put forth their ideas however it will not be a source of action.  The core Principles of the dialog over look basic facts that are beyond our control.  We can not jump all at once, as suggested by some, and change the course of Spaceship Earth to prevent anything.  We can not stop an earth quake.  We have not as yet known the nature and source of gravity.  We can’t even solve centuries old paradoxes such as Zeno’s on motion. We do not fully understand non-locality, except to know that quantum particles act outside space and time, which obliterates the “Real world” as much of science knows it.  And yes Bucky while we know a lot we still know very little and do even less.The political forces refuse to surrender their stronghold.  They have demonstrated their total disregard for nature and nature’s bounty.  For them to acknowledge nature would be giving up their perceived position as the Emperors of the planet and they would have to acknowledge that someone else was in charge and not them.  Things of nature would have to be given much greater value then the politician gives them now.  We are helpless to affect them because they have “the sword” to force their will.  We don’t have it nor do we want to force anything.  So we must rely on a force greater than theirs and ours, nature and nature’s Emperor to solve our earthly problems and the arrogance of the political system.  All we can do is make good choices for our own situation and surroundings.  If each person chooses to make his place or surroundings better than when they found it and have a high regard for all of natures resources, sometime call raw materials, then we will began to see a difference. Hopefully your dialog will do that. Attempting to remove politics for our collective efforts would be fruitless.  Individual efforts are examples to all.  Thank you for your effort
