This was the term that Buckminster Fuller coined to describe the process of “doing more with less.” Since Fuller’s time the concept has expanded beyond the realms of architecture and engineering, and served as a breakthrough approach to more abstracted forms of design. The recent rise of micro-donors, where fundraising works like grid computing; a large number of participants pooling together small individual contributions to achieve a greater objective, has proved to be very advantageous in helping many organizations and campaigns reach fundraising goals.

As BFI continues to draw more and more people into our network, people like yourself who may have participated within one of our programs, attended one of our events, or simply inquired into finding out more about Buckminster Fuller and his increasingly influential views on sustainable design, we are now in a position to “do more with less” ourselves.
